FAQ - Cruise Passengers

  • What will be my pick-up time?

    Our full day tours start in the morning.
    Usually our half day tours are operated in the morning; however, if your ship docks late, we can accommodate you on a half day tour in the afternoon. Just let us know and we will adjust our pick up time to your time schedule.
    We are sorry but no full day tours are possible for cruise passengers docking late (1pm local time or later).

    You will be allowed to disembark the ship approximately half an hour after docking. Pick up information (time and exact location) will be provided to you together with your invoice and confirmation form. 
    You will be dropped off at your dock of berthing at least 30 minutes before departure of the ship.

  • How do I find my guide?

    Our guide will be awaiting you outside the pier property holding a sign with your name on it. 
    Exact directions will be provided to you together with your invoice and confirmation form.

  • What does "island time" vs. "ship time" mean?

    During your travels you may often cross time zones. All our pick up times are listed in "local island time".

    Some cruise lines change their clocks on board to reflect the local time, others do not.
    Curacao is in the Atlantic Time Zone, UTC/GMT - 4  hours and is the same time zone as New York in the summer (Eastern Time Zone) but not in the winter since Curacao does not make use of Daylight Saving Time. On Curacao clocks are not changed.
    You can always log onto www.worldtimeserver.com to double check your time versus Curacao time.

  • Will I get my money back if the ship is late getting into port?

    If the delay is not too long and we are able to wait without inconveniencing other guests we will make sure to wait and operate the tour as planned. If however the ship is too late (more than 45 minutes) we will continue the tour without you and you will receive a full refund.
    If you booked a private tour  we will wait regardless any delay (up to 1 hour).

  • Will I get my money back if the ship is not able to dock?

    Yes, of course you will receive your money back if the ship is not able to dock. If it is known in advance that the ship has to re-route we would appreciate an e-mail letting us know in advance.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    You may cancel your reservation 48 hours prior to your pick up time without any penalty fees.
    If you cancel between 24 hours and 48 hours prior to your pick up time you will be charged 50% of the invoice amount. 
    If you cancel less than 24 hours prior to your pick up time or you do not show up (we then regard you a NO SHOW) no refund will be given.

  • How do I pay?

    We ask for payment in advance by credit card. This is for us to also a security of no shows.
    Once we received your credit card details we will hold your reservation, only 14 days prior to your tour we will charge your credit card. An automated confirmation mail is sent once your credit card has been charged.

  • How far in advance can I book?

    You can book as early as 1 year in advance. Some guests even book earlier but this is rather rare.
